As a nationally certified counselor, founder of Grief & Life Transitions, and the co-founder of the Western Washington Bereavement Network, Jinny Tesik, MA, specializes in working with people who have experienced the sudden death of their loved ones as in suicide, accidents, homicide, or sudden natural illnesses as well as patients and families who are experiencing chronic or catastrophic illnesses. Jinny has also worked with many families whose loved ones have chosen Death With Dignity. As affiliates of the Western Washington Bereavement Network, Grief & Life Transitions Counseling maintains connections and makes referrals to grief support counselors and groups throughout the Washington area.

Geriatric social worker, Carin Mack, MSW, ACSW, leads a variety of free support groups and provides individual counseling at the Greenwood Community Center. Her support groups for caregivers include those who provide care for people with Alzheimer's/dementia, Parkinson's, early stage memory loss, chronic illness/disability, and mental illness. Carin also leads support groups for people with early stage memory loss, Parkinson's, and movement disorders such as Multiple Systems Atrophy and Corticobasal Degeneration. Take Back Your Meds
Works to establish a statewide, permanent medicine take-back program to reduce access to highly-addictive drugs, reduce the risk of poisonings, and reduce environmental contamination. The group has compiled a list of temporary drop-off locations where unwanted medicines can be collected until a permanent statewide program is established.
